St. Francis of Assisi School offers many extracurricular clubs and activities for a variety of interests. For a full list of school clubs, activities, and sports, please visit the Clubs and Activities page and the Sports page under the School Life tab.
Our school also offers an Extended Day Program - St. Clare Program - for families. The St. Clare Program provides before and after school daycare and is available for school-age children (grades Pre-K to 8) of St. Francis School. The hours are from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The cost is $7.00/hour for one child, $10.00/hour for two children and an additional $2.00/hour for each additional child in the family. A late fee of $5.00 per minute per family will be charged for students picked up late from extended care. Registration cost is $25 per family and will be charged to your FACTS Tuition Agreement. Drop-in care is available. The Extended Day Program is offered only on days school is in session.
The program offers homework time, arts & crafts, indoor and outdoor games and activities. Activities are appropriate for the age level of the child.
This program is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Registration forms for this program may be found here. Please remember to update family emergency information and authorized pick-up information as changes occur. Extended Day Program Handbooks are available for parents who utilize this program.
The Parent-Teacher Organization is a support group for St. Francis of Assisi School. The membership includes the faculty, staff, and parents of students attending St. Francis. The activities of the PTO are directed by the Events Coordinator or Chairman.
The primary purpose of the PTO is to provide a volunteer support group for the school. In addition to providing volunteer support, the PTO is the major source of fund raising for the school. If you are interested in participating in the school's PTO, please contact Mrs. Orille in the school office.
For our families with teens, our parish provides a Youth Ministry Program known as REAL Youth Ministry (Respect Engage Accept Live). REAL events and meetings are open to all High School teens (grades 9-12). More information regarding the parish's youth ministry may be found here.
