Dear Parents,
I hope you all had a great Labor
Day weekend. Once again we are hitting the ground running in
third grade. Please note the homework for tonight includes the
front and back of a math workbook paper and two columns of Math
Maintenance. We will have spelling sentences on Wednesday and
will not do our spelling words in alphabetical order this week.
Congratulations to all our new
members of Select Choir. I am proud to announce that every third
grade student who auditioned for Select Choir was chosen to be
in the choir. Regretfully, practice will not be held this
Thursday, September 9. As of today, the first Select Choir
practice will be held on Thursday, September 16, from 3pm to 4pm
in the church.
Tomorrow night, Wednesday,
September 8, is Back-to-School Night for grades K-5. This event
begins in the church at 6:30pm and after some brief remarks by
Dr. Barber will continue in the classrooms. This is an
opportunity for me to give you an overview of the year to come
and answer any general questions. If you have any questions or
concerns specific to your child, please feel free to make an
appointment to meet with me at a later time.
