Third grade at St. Francis is a pivotal year. It is the foundation year for the other intermediate grades (grades 4 and 5). It is in third grade that students learn to organize themselves for work through the use of an agenda for homework and various colored folders in and out of class. The goal of third grade is to have every student prepared to work independently, transition smoothly, and take responsibility for their own work.
