Care for Creation Club - Moderator Mrs. Herrmann

The Care for Creation Club, established in 2010, is a Christ-centered community service club based on the Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching.  Each year our St. Francis of Assisi Middle School students participate in various outreach projects in both our school and community.
Some examples of the activities the Care for Creation Club has participated in include assembling hygiene kits for the homeless; making blankets for the ACTS Shelter; filling 100 Christmas stockings each year for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program; raking lawns for senior parishioners; planting flowers outside the Middle School classrooms; collecting hundreds of baby items for Mary’s Shelter and Birthright; organizing pizza fund-raisers for our Pennies for Peru Program; supporting the Heroes for Vets organization that provides service dogs to assist veterans; and growing tomato plants for Francis House clients.

Pennies for Peru - Moderator Mrs. Herrmann

The St. Francis School Pennies for Peru program was established in September 2007. This is an on-going monetary collection to aid the members of our Sister Parish in Peru. As of June 13, 2017, our students have contributed $19,222.63 to this worthy cause! Thank you to all of our students, Kindergarten through Grade 8, who give so generously to help those in need!
