A Note from the Teacher: Everyone enjoyed our classroom Christmas Pancake Breakfast. Thanks to all for your generosity of time, talent, and resources. The children are working hard and are increasing their Reading and Language Arts skills. Thank you for your support of Reader’s Theater. Last Week Religion: We read and discussed how families share life and love and how Jesus belonged to the Holy Family. We discussed our Parish Family and our responsibilities to the church. Math: We reviewed even and odd numbers and counting by 2’s and 5’s in our efforts to understand place value to 100. We continue to work on mastery of math facts, addition and subtraction. Social Studies/Science: We read and discussed Weekly Reader, and Scholastic News. Language Arts: The children did a nice job performing Reader’s Theater. We continue to work on our writing and grammar skills. We reviewed the long i sound in preparation for our next story.
