School Band




The band program at St Francis School is sponsored by Garwood Whaley Music through the Catholic Diocese of Arlington and is open to students from the 4th grade through the 8th grade. There is a fee for instruction which includes weekly half hour lessons (offered during the school day on a rotational schedule in order to coordinate with other school subjects) written evaluations, and performance opportunities. Basic instruction is offered for Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion.

On Thursday, May 26th, the Advanced Band performed several musical selections for students and the community. The concert included Beginner and Advanced Band members from St. Francis of Assisi, St. William of York, Holy Family Catholic School, and The Carmel School. While performing at St. Francis of Assisi School, music trophies were awarded to Saint Francis students for Most Improved and Outstanding Performance.
